About us:
The Pennsylvania Valley Paranormal Alliance or PVPA  for short was formed to conduct serious investigations into the paranormal. Servicing all of NEPA and surrounding states.  Our goal is to investigate and research prospective haunts and determine through the use of scientific equipment whether or not paranormal activity is present.

Pennsylvania Valley Paranormal Alliance is not bound to this region and is willing to travel to help any client. We use the latest technology to collect and analyze evidence before presenting it to the client and the public. All information we collect will be held strictly confidential until the client has given the PVPA the signed permission to release.

Pennsylvania Valley Paranormal Alliance currently has members with different areas of specialization, all of which can relate to the paranormal. Every member of the group is 25 years of age or older. We carefully screen all members of the group to ensure the most professional approach to an investigation.

PVPA's main goal is to find answers. Through interviews and investigations, we will work hard to determine whether or not something is paranormal. PVPA also prides itself on innovation. With client permission, we produce and broadcast interactive shows on the Internet via Justin.tv. We create our weekly shows to educate, inform and entertain the general public about the paranormal. This service is optional for we respect the right for a client to keep an investigation confidential.

We do not use psychics or oujia boards as we prefer to apply a more scientific approach to investigating we do respect people's beliefs and will maintain a professional attitude during an investigation. Any member of PVPA showing any kind of disrespect towards a client will automatically be released and will no longer be members of PVPA.

Pennsylvania Valley Paranormal Alliance will be investigating Bobby Mackey's on Feb. 7, 2010.

Also P.V.P.A. will be present at this live event!!

BLOODY HISTORY

The old building that now houses Bobby Mackey's was a slaughterhouse for over 40 years during the 1800s. The ample spilled blood from the slaughterhouse and its location on the banks of the Licking River – one of two rivers in the world that flow north – attracted a hoard of satanic worshippers who used the site for sacrificial grounds.

In 1896, the building became entangled in a sensational and grizzly murder when Pearl Bryan's headless body was found nearby. The young lady's head was never found, but speculation abounded that it was likely disposed of in the slaughterhouse's basement well that was used to drain blood into the river when two local men who were active in the occult confessed to the murder. Alonzo Walling and Scott Jackson became the last two people hanged in Campbell County when they were sent to the gallows on March 21, 1897 for the murder of Pearl Bryan. With his last words on the gallows behind the Campbell County Courthouse – located near the slaughterhouse – Walling vowed to return to torment his executioners.

According to the Kentucky Post articles at the time, Walling and Jackson were offered life in prison instead of death if they told authorities where Bryan's head was located. People familiar with the two murderers claim that they refused because they were terrified they would spark the wrath of Satan if they exposed the site of his sacrificial grounds. Reportedly, they offered Bryan's head as a sacrifice to Satan, most likely in the slaughterhouse well. Local believers claim the well is a "gateway to hell" of sorts, a gruesome legend that lives on to the present day.
