Brief History:
ANDY GAVIN'S EATERY & PUB
(Scranton, Lackawanna County) has been a popular stop in Scranton since 1988, when Don Surace took over Kaplan's Bar. The building it's in dates back at least a century, and has a permanent guest they call George. He's thought to be the spook of a 19th century miner. Although he's been seen on occasion, he's better known for his poltergeist activities. There have also been claims of furniture and objects moved, voices heard, and toilets flushing on their own.

Equipment:
We arrived around 2:30am and started setting up our equipment. We brought 3 Sony Night Vision cameras, KII Meter, EMF Detector, Anolog wireless thermometers, 3 digital cameras, and 4 voice recorders. We felt that would be enough because the area we were covering was not too big plus we had 5 investigators.
Investigation:
We began shortly after 3:00 am and we ran various experiments in the kitchen area, bar area, and basement (looking for natural reasoning). We did notice very high EMF readings in the Basement area and the compressors under the bar were very high also. While in the basement shortly after 4:15 am we started doing the wireless thermometer experiment. KII also but little success. The thermometers were approx. 5 ft apart and we noticed an 8 degree temperature difference. We later discovered an EVP during the time of the temperature change. While we were in the basement we heard a chair scratch on the floor. The investigators on that level were on the opposite end of the room but we still could not confirm it. We had an overall good night and we broke down around 6:45 am and left at around 7:00 am Sunday. We wanted to personally thank Donny for having us and we would love a followup investigation with more equipment and access to the top floors.
Results:
After going over all the audio, video, and picture evidence, we found numerous EVP's, temperature drops, and personal experiences, we feel Andy Gavins is haunted.
