I hope our other members read this cuz I just want to say I think we did fantastic at the Shanley Hotel. Even though you brats wouldn't stay up all night with this wimp...lol! Jimmy Jam was a great addition to our group and it was great meeting and working with him. He is a great guy and addition to the group. I think everyone will really enjoy the evidence we caught there! I can't wait to return! Sal and Cindy are amazing, beautiful people!

I have to say that Avondale Mine Site was the most active place I have ever experienced in my life. It was overwhelming and an experience I will never forget. Our team did a wonderful job of being respectful and honoring the memories of those lost at the location. I have to thank the guys on the team for keeping me grounded when I was jumping out of my skin! You guys are great!

Hello Everyone, Great site... Glad to see so much interest in the Avondale Mine Disaster Site...Don't forget to visit the Avondale Ballad and the Memorial to all the miners and boys that died in 1869 up on Avondale Hill Rd. that was commemorated a few years ago... Eileen has sent me her families spiritual confessional in full detail and I am still trying to digest it page by page along with the pictures she has sent to me and I am honored to have been selected to receive her letter..I've been following in Joe Keating's footsteps for several years to turn the site into a commemorative community gardens area for the miner's that died and we are slowly getting there with volunteers....eventually we want to beautify the area along the trail and allow the mine to breathe once again when we can get a sturdy gate constructed over the entrance to the mine We have been honoring the miners for the last 5 years now around the Anniversary of the Disaster.....I live on Avondale Hill, so please drop me a line if you want to know anything else about the site and or my discussions with Joe Keating and Bob Wolensky before they wrote their book on whether or not they thought it was an accident or arson...with a deathbed confession to boot!

David, thanks for visiting the HOPPS website. I'm sure we'd be interested in a live broadcast sometime soon. Too bad it wasn't when we went to Mt. Carmel --very creepy. I'll run this by the rest of my group to see what they think. I have a few places lined up for June/July timeframe, but not sure if a webcast can be done from there as there is no cell service at either location. I'll be sure to let you know what we're doing. By the way, where is your group located? You can get info about us at www.hoppsghosthunters.com, including phone numbers and email addresses. Thanks for visiting our site, and I'm sure a co-op is in store for the future. --John

This message is to inform all in the Valley who lost family members such as I did, that Robert Hughes (Anthracite Living History Group will be receiving the entire story of how the fire started at the Avondale Mine 9/6/1869. This tragedy effected both sides of my Grandpop McLaughlin (pudd). My GG Grandfather James C McLaughlin and 4 other Irish caused the fire that day. I am leaving this to apologize for the horrible thing and the 110 bodies that died there. My Uncle Madison Allabaugh, and John Powell are waiting for me to come and cross them now that the truth willl be told. Please dedicate this message to a dear friend in life, and now in the Heaven. God Bless Joe Keating. Eileen McLaughlin Rehoboth Beach, DE 19966

I am so glad that I have been invited to be a part of this team. I think the paranormal is fascinating and often denied its reality when its right in front of us! If we allow ourselves we all have the psychy to connect to the paranormal.

Eileen McLaughlin said:   May 4, 2009 6:28 am PST
My Uncle Madison Allabaugh & Uncle John Powell (husband of Amada Madison's sister died in the fire on 1869. It was arson and not a accident. I am a psychic medium and my Spirit Guide Yvette spoke to them the times I was up there. I have pictures of my Uncle Madison and Aunt Mandy and her husband at the site. Thier are 29 souls still earthbound 22 adults and 7 children, that I need to cross over the next time I get to the Valley. I live near Rehoboth Beach, DE now. My Fathers both sides of his family are from Avondale Hill, Plymouth Twp.
