Think first and then react all about the KII meter
I hold true to my open minded approach to the paranormal. I believe the "what if" factor is what attracts people to paranormal research. Asking questions and analysis is the key to learning about the paranormal. Scientific research shows the KII meter picks up rf signals, cell phone, cb radio's and ham radio signal. (thanks Rick for helping educate me). Although the meter picks up these signals we must be very careful about how we use this devise. Just because the KII is spiking does not mean it is automatically picking up paranormal activity. What we need to remember is stay calm. When we are calm we make better decisions based on common sense and it allows rational thought to take over. We need to practice thinking of questions to ask when the KII starts going off. Target questions that may directly show whether its just a signal or something paranormal. I cant tell you what to ask because every place has a different history. Ask questions based on the history of the location but don't keep repeating the question one after the other. Fill in different questions in between the repeat question. The repeat question should be slightly changed. If you get the same response at least three times then you may have something. Make sure you allow at least five seconds before the response. Some may say ten but who knows if the perspective spirit wants to hang around that long. In my experience five seconds is good. You can decide what works best for you. Everyone must understand there are people who believe this devise does not work. But the same people need to go back and try it again. Have a plan how to use it--serious investigators always plan. That is what separates the serious investigators to the "thrill seekers" Compile a list of questions to ask and pick one that works best and gets the strongest response (if you get any response at all). This will determine if the devise works or not. Just try it. If anything use it as a learning experience.

Common Sense of Debunking
Debunk is to expose or ridicule the falseness, sham, or exaggerated claims of. This means to expose a sham, ridicule someone, and tell them they are a liar. The word debunk is being misused by paranormal teams across the country. I do not believe everyone is a sham but I think we may to be more careful about the way we use the word. With the onset of the new tv generation we need to look at ourselves and try to improve ourselves. The misuse of the word debunk is one of them. Is there people or groups out there that are a sham? I think that we can turn to common sense for an answer. There are many people out there claiming they have something to offer. Yet with all the intelligence in the world they do not seem to possess what is most important thing to paranormal research which I feel is common sense. Common sense is the key because it always turns us to rational thought. It keeps things in perspective. It gives us an open mind of infinite possibility. If we start convincing ourself that we are better than others and start to look down on people then we begin to close our minds. When ego and anger take over our lives then any argument you make no longer matters because people stop listening to you. You get shut out not because of your intelligence but because of your narrow point of view. If we start convincing ourself that our way is the only way then we become less effective in making our point. We begin to disrespect the thing we love. We isolate ourselves in dark place and all we can do is scoff at anyone else who challenges us. We get jealous over others success and angry because it does not come our way. We get massive superiority complexes and all put ourself on top of a mountain. We begin to focus on one thing that we think we have figured out. We stop looking at things that really matter. People, life, relationships, and caring. We at global understand this point. We will never allow ourself to be influenced by the latest craze. Can we use it to motivate ourself? Yes. But to determine that conclusion with out cause is drawing infinite underestimation. Someone who thinks I am less then them them is what motivates me. Its what makes me stronger. I welcome challenges because it tests me. It helps me make everyone else around me better and stronger. It unites us even more. Its not about how smart someone is. Its about what they have to offer. Hard work, patients, common sense, and an open mind. Once you lose those things you become completely unimportant. I want everyone here at global to know that we will stand united and will continue to move forward. We will achieve unity and we will collaborate because I will not allow other people tell us we cant. I am looking forward to meeting more of you and working together. We will always do the right thing because actions will always speak louder than words. Thanks

If what we do is science then what is the problem?
Science (from the Latin scientia, meaning "knowledge") refers in its broadest sense to any systematic knowledge-base or prescriptive practice that is capable of resulting in a prediction or predictable type of outcome. In this sense, science may refer to a highly skilled technique or practice.[1]
In its more restricted contemporary sense, science refers to a system of acquiring knowledge based on scientific method, and to the organized body of knowledge gained through such research.[2][3] This article focuses on the more restricted use of the word. Science as discussed in this article is sometimes called experimental science to differentiate it from applied science—the application of scientific research to specific human needs—although the two are interconnected.
Science is a continuing effort to discover and increase human knowledge and understanding through disciplined research. Using controlled methods, scientists collect observable evidence of natural or social phenomena, record measurable data relating to the observations, and analyze this information to construct theoretical explanations of how things work. The methods of scientific research include the generation of hypotheses about how phenomena work, and experimentation that tests these hypotheses under controlled conditions. Scientists are also expected to publish their information so other scientists can do similar experiments to double-check their conclusions. The results of this process enable better understanding of past events, and better ability to predict future events of the same kind as those that have been tested.
I wanted to point out one particular line from this:
Scientists are also expected to publish their information so other scientists can do similar experiments to double-check their conclusions.---THIS IS COLLABORATION.
Scientists are expected to do this. So if we are truly a scientific team then why do we not hold each other to the same standards? We need to unify and collaborate. We need to raise our standards.

Collaboration--That is P.V.P.A.(history)
Back in early 2008 my brother and I set out to do our first paranormal haunt. We went and borrowed a camera and bought a voice recorder and a digital camera and we were set. We noticed another paranormal group had visited the avondale mine site. I was actually very knowledgable of the site since I grew up on Avondale Hill. So myself and my two other brothers went to the site and did our first "official" investigation.
We caught some interesting stuff at the site. Well we went back there several other times and began really appreciating not only the science of ghost hunting but I began to realize that more people needed to experience this site. PVPA became a reality in September of 2008. Well the winter came but the wheels were turning about the future. I thought to myself this would be a great opportunity once the weather breaks to bring other groups in. We got a few more investigations under our belt on our own. I have been interviewing and adding new members and am now nine members strong.
Beginning in February I got contacted from another local group called Hazleton paranormal and we did the Avondale site together on April 3, 2008. They were a very experienced group and I learned a lot from them. That particular night there really was not much activity but I made some really great friends in the process. Rich Neely and his group were an amazing bunch of people who I am in regular contact with still today.
I had been contacted by a another group in February from Tom's River NJ called SCAR and we did Avondale on April 11, 2008. Again I made some great friends. We later did another investigation at the Shanley Hotel in Napanoch, NY with them on July 25, 2009. I really loved that trip. Again I made some great friends and I look forward to future projests with them.
In early March of 2009 I got a call from a group from Ohio called TOPS. Jennifer, the case manager at the time contacted me about doing Avondale. I thought its was a great idea. Jen had also contacted Bob Christopher from NEPA paranormal and we all went on a co-op investigation and had a blast. We had the date set up for April 18, 2009. It was amazing night. It was the first time I worked with Bob and TOPS members and it was an honor working with such experienced paranormal people. I am still very good friends with Jen and Tom and always felt on a personaI level that they were the team leaders of that group. They were easy to talk too and I hit it off very well with them. I was very pleased when they decided to create their own group. OPP is doing very well and they are a very strong and up and coming team. They are a great group of people.
Since then in total I have worked with Nepa paranormal, TOPS, SCAR, Luzerne County Ghost Hunters, and Hazleton Paranormal. I did this all in less than 9 months of forming my group. I owe a lot to these people who have taken me under their wing. I have experienced many things and I am sure there will be many more to come.
The main reason why I joined global paranormal is because of the collaboration, and as I have illustrated I was applying it well before I joined this community. It is really what I am about. I wish to continue building relationships within the paranormal community and be useful member by learning and educating others by what I experience. I have never talked down another group and never will.
